This is Catholic Schools Week and as partners in Catholic education we are asked to reflect on the values we seek to pass on to the children in our care. some material will be in the children’s bags today and I would ask you to go through some of the prayers with them.
Grandparents day is mentioned as an activity in the handout, but I propose to leave that until the weather gets finer- we see very many grandparents each day and it is great to see this. For generations, grandparents living in the home were a source of lore, wisdom, good sense (and no little baby-sitting!).
Science Week is next week and Ms. O’ Keefe has been recruiting Parents to give demos and practicals all week. W5 are alos coming to the School so a very exciting week is in prospect.
We return to School on 29th August this year in case any one needs the information for planning. THe final holiday list will be posted as soon as it is finalised.

Seanfhocal na seachtaine……. cead a chos ag an ógfhear, cead a súil ag an ógbhean agus cead a chinn ag an seanfhear
a young man can go where he likes, (cead a chos= run of the place), a young woman can look at who she likes (cead a súil) and an old man may think what he likes!
