Assembly and Dismissal Arragements From Nov 7th 2011

As the Senior Boys’ School will not have access to their yard or Vernon Court  entrance after Hallowe’en break, they will be using the new entrance to the Junior Boys’ School  and yard for morning assembly.

Morning assembly

All boys (from both Senior and Junior Schools) enter through new gate to Junior Boys’ yard. Senior boys assemble towards grey doors outside JBS Principal’ Office.

Gates near JBS Secretary’s office to be used for access in the morning by staff only.

Junior and Senior Infants enter the school yard (from 8.30) through new gates on Seafield Road and then enter new School  foyer and go straight to their classrooms where they will be supervised by SNAs (one per classroom) and the teacher on duty. Staff will be on duty to take your son to his class, so there is no need to enter the School.

1^st and 2^nd class boys enter School through the new gate (from 8.30) and go directly to the hall via end door adjacent to JBS yard shelter. These boys assemble in the hall as normal until collected by their teachers.

Senior Boys enter through new Junior School gate and assemble in Junior Boys’ yard in designated places under supervision of SBS teachers.

Wet day assembly

Junior Boys: As above.

Senior Boys:  Through new gate, yard and straight to classes /pre-fabs via door near JBS Principal’s Office

Dismissal

Junior and Senior Infants: Will be lined up in Junior Boys’ yard at 1.20 under the supervision of class teachers. Parents/collectors should enter school via new gate. Exit will be via new gate onto Seafield Road.

!st and 2^nd Class boys: Will be lined up in Junior Boys’ yard at 2.20 under the supervision of class teachers. Parents/ collectors should enter school via new gate. Exit will be via new gate onto Seafield Road.

Senior Boys:

Senior Boys from Prefabs (Room 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 at rear of JBS) should not enter JBS corridor but should exit via Seafield Rd. Gates adjacent JBS Secretary’s Office only. Both sides of this Gate will be opened from 2:15 to facilitate egress. Boys from the prefabs who need to collect either bicycles or siblings from JBS should exit onto Seafield Road as above and re-enter yard through new JBS entrance.

Senior Boys from rooms on JBS corridor (Room 1, 2, 3, & 4) should exit onto JBS yard through doors outside JBS Principal’s Office and then exit via new gates onto Seafield Road (collecting bicycles/brothers in yard if necessary). 

Bicycles: Boys from either school who cycle to school should park bicycles in bike parking area to left of new gates and go to their designated assembly area as soon as they have done so.

After-School activities: Pupils who are involved in after school activities will be brought to the yard after their classes/sessions by teachers/tutors for collection for collection by parents/minders.
