Yesterday, we had our first DEAR session in the School. DEAR is an acronym for Drop Everything and Read and is one of a number of initiatives the staff have come up with as part of our work on literacy in Belgrove. It was also a way to mark International Book Day. So from 1 until ten past yesterday, everyone here downed tools and read for ten minutes. It was valuable chill time and the boys- and I daresay Staff!- really enjoyed it. An idea we will definitely try again! Check out the news section for DEAR photos.
