Welcome back everybody and I hope Parents and boys had a good break (or weekend!)
As you know, we had a break-in at the School some weeks ago and this, as well as a curtailed level of service from our bank, has spurred us to reflect on how we might more safely and securely handle our monies. Our local bank only take coin during narrow timebands and in any event, there are security implications in members of staff carrying cash to the bank. We are looking at all the options, including online banking, paypal and a package based on our Aladdin data management system. Some of these packages can be expensive, but as schools qualify as charities under the recent charities legislation, we should be able to offset or at least reduce these charges. I have a vague memory that we may have or have had a Parent who worked in paypal and, while not endorsing any one provider over another, I would like them to contact me please.
