On Tuesday June 28th, we had a fantastic day of celebration when we proudly raised our first Green Flag in recognition of the school’s very successful efforts to reduce waste. Our green schools mascot ‘Recycle Michael’ wowed the adjudication committee. On 24th May, two boys Liam and Seán from 1st class represented our school at the awards ceremony in the Helix. On that day, we were presented with our flag. The Green Schools Committee felt strongly that we should make a day of celebration and what better day than the day of the dance display. Kris, our caretaker had installed a new flagpole and so we proudly flew our first green flag.
